Frequently asked questions
Which property value should I enter?
Use your self-assessed market value as at 1 November 2025. That valuation generally fixes the band for 2026 to 2030.
How many bands are there?
Revenue lists 19 fixed-charge bands up to €2.1 million. Properties above €2.1 million use progressive percentage rates.
What is the Local Adjustment Factor?
Each local authority may increase or decrease the basic rate by up to 15%. The calculator includes Revenue's published 2026 factors.
Will a later price increase change my band?
General price movements during 2026 to 2030 do not require a new valuation. Revenue says the next valuation date is 1 November 2030.
Is this the Revenue calculator?
No. LPT Clear is independent and provides an estimate. Use Revenue's official service for filing and confirmation.
